Short Answer: “crew” or “half calf” socks!

This is one of the top questions I’ve been getting as my millennial clients are navigating the whole “show your socks” thing. No show socks can make us look a bit dated, but throwing on a half calf or crew sock makes you look current. It’s the smallest thing, but makes a big difference if you’re trying to stay modern.

When selecting a sock color, go for a color that’s already in your outfit or a neutral color that will compliment your outfit (i.e. white, blue, black, olive green etc). Also, don’t be afraid to have some fun with your socks in terms of prints or textures. Socks are a great way to show personality if you want to. That being said, you can never go wrong with a white sock.

Lastly, if you prefer the look of no show socks with shorts, stick to those. I personally dig a sock showing.

Now that you’ve seen all the “showing your socks” look, how does the no-show feel? If you still dig it, definitely stick to it.
